The following is an account of the process of this project to date. Some of you
may find it interesting just how long it takes to get a novel written and ready
to sell. I know I did.
- December 26, 2003
- Official release date for novel and my daughter's 9th birthday.
- September 26, 2003
- Limited edition signed copies arrived from publisher and now in stock. Advance Review copies mailed out to newspapers
and magazines across the country.
- August 26, 2003
- Official release date has been set for December 26, 2003. This date was chosen to honor the birthday of my daughter, Kayla,
who was responsible for giving me the idea for this novel and to whom the book is lovingly dedicated.

- Special preorder issues ordered from printer and offered exclusively through this website.
- June 3, 2003
- Website updated with all new content and information.
- May 25, 2003
- Official release date announcement postponed to fulfill publicity tasks and to put distance from Mr. Potter's June release.
- April 24, 2003
- Proof copy received off of presses and final approval released.
- March 28, 2003
- Final editing completed and formatted manuscript sent to printer for proofing.
- January 21, 2003
- Official website for novel launched.
- June 6, 2002
- Editing of manuscript begins.
- April 12, 2002
- American Book Publishing offers contract for the publication rights to novel.
- January 25, 2002
- Manuscript completed and ready for publisher solicitation.
- July 31, 2001
- Work begins on manuscript for my first novel.
- July 30, 2001
- My daughter gives me an idea for a story by saying she really wants to hear a tale about a unicorn.
